Congratulations Speech Meet Winners
Over the past several weeks, elementary students at New Testament Christian School worked hard to prepare for the school’s annual speech meet. Students went on to represent NTCS at the annual Association of Christian School International Regional Speech Meet in Windsor, CT on March 18. Students in grades 1-5 mastered memorization, oral speaking and critical thinking skills to help increase their confidence, improve communication and develop their Godly character.
Recitations included: poetry, Bible memorization, fable, folklore, patriotic oration, dramatic Bible prose and original speech. Using clear speech, inflection and facial expressions, students made their recitation piece come alive. Students demonstrated what they have learned about the principles of oral speaking while reciting their selection in front of the audience. This is an incredible platform for students to demonstrate their knowledge and talents for the glory of God. The speech meet is just one of the many practical learning opportunities students have to participate in throughout the school year.
Congratulations to the students on a job well done. A special thank you to all the parents who chaperoned and judged this year's Speech Meet. It was truly a fun day.

NTCS Granted National Honor Society Membership
NTCS is pleased to announce that we have been granted a chapter in the National Honor Society.
The National Honor Society (NHS) and the National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) are the nation's premier organizations recognizing outstanding middle level and high school students who demonstrate excellence in the areas of scholarship, leadership, service, and character. NHS and NJHS are proudly sponsored by the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP).
Schedule A Visit
At any time during the school year, families may request an appointment to meet with us and tour the school. During the school year, we would also encourage scheduling a "shadow day" where your child(ren) will have the opportunity to spend a day in the NTCS classroom. This affords us the opportunity to evaluate your child's needs, and for your child to become more comfortable with potential peers and teachers. This, in combination with the student's previous school history and records, will help us discover how we can best work together to serve the academic needs of your child.
